When I first started designing TOMTOM back in 2009, I was living in NY, was much younger and was working as an architect. Although I have always been a minimalist at heart, my personal style and design aesthetic was much more complicated back then.
In the past few years in Los Angeles as I have adjusted to the hectic lifestyle of being a working mom (full-time jewelry designer) of two adorable crazy toddlers, I have become obsessed with two things: time and minimalism.
Time, as in where did it go and why are there never enough hours in the day? And minimalism as both a concept and a consequence of this lost time.
I keep hoping that maybe if I pare down everything in my life, I will be able to steal back some of that elusive time. New mantra: Live with less.
